ELIE SAAB SPRING/SUMMER 2018 COUTURE COLLECTION

Back to the basics or back to the roots! With these words, the latest Haute Couture collection for Spring/Summer 2018 by Elie Saab could be described. If you are a relatively into the fashion then you can remember the earlier and the first Couture collections by which Elis Saab has become famous in the fashion Olimp and the fashion mainstream. The sheer textures brought in the most refined manner and boosted with the micro-fine embellishments. This was his Couture signature. All of that was on the sight in this amazing collection.

But this collection has had the integrated theme. The early 20-ties of the twenty century and Charleston era in the Great Gatsby mannerism could be sensed as the main leading inspirational point of the design view. With that on the mind, Elie Saab has presented a plenty of fringes, deep and sassy cuts as well as the high seductive note but in a classy way. The Saab Couture aesthetic is all about the fine almost fairy-tale alike dressing so the gowns were really stunning giving us the reminiscence of the earlier Saab´s Couture work. All of that was rounded up with the most divine wedding dress and in this case, there was no exception, the beauty at the end in ice-y white was simply breathtaking!

This kind of fashion is the reason why Elie Saab is one of my favorite designers. With the high feminine beauty which, he accentuates with the glamorous textures, nice and flowy silhouettes and stunning colors boosted with the shiny embroidered features. Nothing is too much or made with the intention to be exaggerated. Elie Saab makes the most gorgeous "Belle Couture" which has become his trademark and epitome of his design serving us the breathtaking possibilities that fashion has and fashion can. And because of that the power of fashion, in this case, the Haute Couture, is something worth to talk about and to simply admire!

CHANEL SPRING/SUMMER 2018 COUTURE COLLECTION

Karl Lagerfeld just knows a good Couture! This could be a credo or creative MOJO of the latest Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018 Collection by Chanel. The ethereal and wispy dresses with the refined embellishments have made this collection the most stunning and beautiful. Like it was dedicated to the City Of Light, Paris it has presented the fashion epitome of the fairytale alike story.

Everything has started from the tweed. If anyone knows how to make this Chanel trademark material so exciting then that is Karl Lagerfeld. With each collection, whether Ready To Wear or Couture one, he just breaks down the already known pattern bringing the original design ideas. In this case, this collection has featured the more voluminous forms of the coat alike dresses. With high embroidered tweed mixed with the glamorous knittings, Chanel once again has shown the renewed story of this anthological fabric for the house of Chanel.

The lightness and illuminating touches were displayed in the form of midi dresses with the refined embellishments on them. Even here the classic Chanel aesthetic was on the scene, with the unpretentious chic and glamorous flirts. The sense of the spring and summer vibes were in the coloristic hints in the shades of vibrant pink as well as the peachy pink brought in the all-white crystal canvas. Either it was the flowery ones or simply the bow around the waist. This color was the highlight of the whole collection.

The fabulous Couture story by Chanel was continued by the "Alice In Wonderland" alike form and silhouette. With the lucid and quirky voluminous again form which has seemed to be the lately aesthetic obsession by Karl Lagerfeld, the collection has shown the wonderful display of the most dreamy and gorgeous dresses. All in the typically Chanel length, the midi one, and in the white color or the blushy creamy just like the one worn by the Lagerfeld´s new muse, Kaia Gerber, the epicenter, and the peak was at the very end with the wedding dress at the end. The Couture hybrid of the male tuxedo and female dress with the fringed sleeves and crinoline alike cape on the top, this ensemble was the perfect round up of this whole fashion story!

Chane has shown once again that Couture has so many facets and that it has taken a modern and contemporary direction. The traditional forms which are so usual for Haute Couture were in this collection mixed with the playful and romantic edginess what has given the new swing to this French house of fashion!

RALPH & RUSSO SPRING/SUMMER 2018 COUTURE COLLECTION

As the Haute Couture Week has kicked off the many amazing couturiers have presented their Couture collections. All of them will be featured here on my blog for sure, but today I want to write about the Ralph & Russo Spring/Summer 2018 Couture Collection which was presented yesterday. Ralph & Russo is the fashion house if we observe it from the Couture point of view a relatively young and new. From their original focus on the luxurious accessories and high glamour Ready To Wear collections, the spin and start towards the Haute Couture direction was the rational and reasonable choice.

I personally adore Ralph & Russo Couture and their sense of style and high fashion. Their aesthetic is not homogenous. It is rather heterogenic and polyvalent. Whether the word is about the silhouettes, the textures, the colors or the embroideries. All of those features make the vivid and modern twist in the Haute Couture sense. Maybe that is why Meghan Markle has chosen their sheer black embroidered dress for the official photo shoot with Prince Harry! That was the indicator that Ralph & Russo has the fashion flair which is fresh, classic and with an adorable twist.

But let us go back to the yesterday´s collection. It was full of the dresses in so many amazing forms. From the typically Couture gowns with the flowy skirts and accentuated waists to the much modern and ultra seductive asymmetric sheer dresses with high shine and seethrough game. If anyone knows how to make the seductive notes to the highest pitch then that is probably Ralph & Russo house of Couture. And that is what makes their design so exquisite and not boring.

The ruffles´ game in the micro edition which were brought in the light pink gown, the flowery alike patterns made from the pure chiffon, the structured high cut dress in black which embodies the perfect red carpet moment, the silky cascades and the flowy and airy silhouettes featured with the shiny embellishments. All of that and more was on the spot. The highlight was vibrant green dress in origami structured form.

Talking about the more coloristically vibrant solutions were presented in the deep red, citrus yellow and rose gold. Another highlight was at the end and that was the glamorous wedding dress. With rich ball alike gown silhouette and tons of lace, it was the perfect peek of this amazing and beautiful collection which has shown the direction of Haute Couture by Ralph & Russo which is vibrant, modern, fresh, seductive and classy at the same time!

SCHIAPARELLI SPRING/SUMMER 2018 HAUTE COUTURE COLLECTION

It is that time of the year when the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris starts! If you have been a regular visitor here on my blog you probably know that I heart and adore Haute Couture. It is the reason why I have started to write this blog. To me, the Haute Couture is like the poetry to wear, fairytale alike dresses and textures at which only a glimpse makes me smile! If I consider a fashion the true escapism then the Haute Couture is a purely visual joy and phantasy.

But let's go back at the Haute Couture Fashion Week. The first collection that has taken the place was the on by the Parisian house of fashion, the Schiaparelli one. With the long tradition and history of high fashion (the first name of the house was Elsa Schiaparelli which was also famous for being in the serious animosity with Gabrielle Chanel. I know that this data is maybe overrated but it is here just to help you to have the vision of how long this fashion house has the tradition of high and glamorous design in the niche of Couture).

This collection was the modern interpretation of the typical Schiaparelli design in Couture sense. The ethereal and flowy textures of the dresses, the witty and playful prints with the flora and fauna features. The most amazing was in this sense the mocha black gown with the featured butterfly appliques in deep gold. Talking about all-black ensembles, the one which was standing out was the short jacket alike dress with the texturized surface and fringes overload on the ends.

The almost sheer texture was the leading point of the material and fabric sense. Schiaparelli has that highlight or rather the trademark aesthetic in the shape of airy and fluid textures and silhouettes but with the sculpted and stiff aura. The tendency towards the more accentuated silhouette was toned down with the choice of easy and light materials what has given the whole collection the dreamy and poetic accents.

With the heterogenic approach in the case of textures and materials, from the romantic lace and sheer tulle, this collection has captioned the ultimate glamour but with wearable accents. That fact does not make this collection less beautiful, oh no. The drama is lately all gone from the Haute Couture introducing the more wearable options but still very glamorous and chic worthy. This collection is the perfect break down of the direction in which the current Couture goes. And we simply love it!
