You could probably tell that there was a lot of the evolution in the fashion and style in the Gucci house lately. Seems like Alessandro Michele´s vision is a total oxymoron of what the usual and trendsetters worthy aesthetic of this Italian brand is usually about. The new vintage and the eclectic concept of Gucci style is definitely something that inhales an excitement in the mainstream of the fashion scene. Fearless and bold with the strong artistic concepts and visual paraphrases is what the new Gucci is all about. The artistic and experimental spirit has gone so far, that Gucci will be part of the next Fashion Week in Paris. And this fact tells a lot about how high and big Gucci aesthetic has gone, in the positive sense, of course!
The same and on the vigilant point was the Spring/Summer 2019 Resort Collection. The mixture of so many influences, the ensembles which scream the new idea of the pure art of dressing. The theatrical concept which is strong even in this collection has pushed this collection from the ready to wear niche into the exciting and lavishing couture zone. That could be the gro-details that catch our attention at the first glimpse, but if we look closely we could section every ensemble in the amazing pieces which struck with the tailored perfection and scream the pure class.
This "hidden" visual order in the much eclectic "divine" mess is incorporated in the polished approach to the cuts and forms, as well as in the textures. The stunning silky dresses which remind us at the antique royal sleep-gowns enriched with the modern Gucci floral prints. It was like the big scarf was sectioned into the pieces and refreshed in the two-piece airy ensemble. The coats are another incorporation of the pure class. They have been done impeccably amazing with the all-popular light voluminosity.
The stars of the collection were the dresses. They have embodied the pure drama effect but even here the easy wearable factor was kept. The long by ruffles boosted dresses, and one wedding gown at the very end, have shown the graceful side of the silky dream. In white, azure blue or mystically black, they all have kept the glamorous effect on the peak!
Seems like this collection really was like a dream brought into the fashion reality! If you ever wonder how could the style edition of for example "A Midsummer Night´s Dream" look like, or the fashioning of the modern gothic novel, this could be the perfect collection for it. The visual motifs which correspond amazingly not just with the fashion but with the art in general, in this collection speak out loud how fashion is heterogenic and live medium and that Alessandro Michele has a plenty of these kinds of stories to tell a.k.a show!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the latest Gucci style by Alessandro Michele or do you find it too much avant-garde and too experimental for your taste?
Thank you for the attention!
