IS ASSERTIVE AESTHETIC THE NEW CHAPTER IN FASHION?!

The name or just the thought of assertive aesthetic in the fashion is definitely something that has been around for a few seasons. After the casuals and sportswear inspirations in the most collections the elegant and yet refined, circumstances have highlighted definitely a new chapter in fashion. Taking the step further and adding to all of that the concept of sustainability in fashion and the central juxtaposition of art that is rather re-buildable there are definitely new spirits in the trends that are coming from the runways!

The Spring/Summer 2020 collection was all about that if you ask Giambattista Valli. But in his way. If you know about the style that Giambattista Valli, you know that he likes and nourishes the fine feminine design with the slight extravagant accents in the details like big ruffles, bright colors, even bigger bows. This collection has had all of that but in the mellow tone.

The mini-dresses that have become a beautiful occupation of Valli have become sleeker and simpler in the silhouettes. The A-line cut with the simple interventions in the features like the tiny bows in the horizontal rows. Even the chromatic solutions were soft and built from the mainly white canvas with the delicate floral prints.

The one thing that was very Valli was the light chiffon sweeping-lengthed dresses. The airy nature of them with the off-shoulders moments talk the most romantic Summer story that is still reliable but so approachable! And this whole collection was about that. Being assertive and low-key but stunning in the detailings, in the serving the design story, the fresh concept of the millennial glamour! And we must say that we really love it!

What do you think about this collection? Do you like this new approach to the design of Giambattista Valli? What are your thoughts about this topic in general?

Thank you for your attention!
