The same dose of the quotidian extravagant accents was on point in the latest Spring/Summer 2020 collection. The main focus and the juxtaposition was the white dress that was re-invented in so many forms and shapes. It seems like this staple Summer item, a white dress, has been the "zero" starting point for all that this collection has offered to us! From the crisp feeling of determinations and re-builds of the white shirt that flows slowly into the light sculpted mini-dress to the more refined ones with the couture edition brought in the form of the fringes and sheerness of chiffon!
But this collection has had the coloristic boosts too! If anyone knows how to manage the bright chromatic spectrum then that is definitely Pierpaolo Piccioli! With the tangerine orange to the mellow pinks to the pistachio green. The spectrum was kept on the Spring/Summer typical side of the shades that was enhanced with the imperative of the monochromatic looks. The slide dresses with the deep cut were simply gorgeous giving us that extra feeling of tiny glamour on the hot summer nights!
Or days, because of these ensembles that were moderated with the accessories on the everyday level but with the dramatic makeup that has become a dearly common thing when the word is about the shows by Valentino at the era of Piccioli, they can come totally chic and purely glamorous! And all of that with the sense that is so approachable and relatable! And isn´t that the purpose of the fashion! To enjoy and be inspired! In Valentino, you get all of that and even more!
