Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the fashion house Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri had the chance to revive the old and classic Dior style. What better way than celebrating it with the show presented at the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris with Christian Dior Autumn/Winter 2017 Couture Collection. The winter/autumnal imperative was on the peak with all gray ensembles alluring the classic Dior silhouette.
Lots of chiffon layers and ruffles on the gowns, as well as the light cashmere textures on the glamorous coats, all of these ensembles have evocated the glorious days of Christian Dior. Clean forms, with slightly toned up imperative of elegance, sheer features addressing the refined feminine beauty. But the most dazzling were all black velvet gowns. The opulence of velvety texture had the dark modern gothic vibes, especially illuminating the deep dark tones underneath the strong Parisian sun.
As the down parts of the dresses were in light fall, the accents were in the cuts on the decollete with linear cuts or more defined deep cups forms. Besides that, the common highlighter to the almost each ensemble, and that was one more iconic detail from Christian Dior´s original aesthetic, the tiny belt around the waist. Showing the ultra feminine silhouette this collection was the perfect way to celebrate the 70th anniversary. and by the mixture of modern and traditional to celebrate woman´s beauty!
