This new vision as the main highlight has the masculine tone to the ensembles. The wide yet well fit trousers with the nonchalant blouses tucked in, with the more structure in the shoulders just enough to air the strong feminine approach to it all. Even in the case of the combination with a skirt, the vibe was far from glamorous. Yet it was still the pure power-dressing. The refinery was kept definitely in the textures. Satin and velvet, with faux fur hats, the edgy elegance was still so modern and simply stunning to be featured in both concepts, from the daily wear to the night out.
Speaking of the night outfits they were captured perfectly in the last sequin of the runway show with long sleek dresses. In the monochrome style with the long sleeves and the asymmetric cut on the front with the necklace alike features to give the simplicity of it all the more playful and edgy tone. In the case of Tom Ford, everything is minimalistic but yet so picturesque and strong. It shows how he has a clear and prominent vision of the current fashion. In his eyes, the woman is confident and feminine even when she is put in the concept of the masculine context.
This collection was definitely the big opening spotlight of New York Fashion Week. With the totally assertive mode but with the high glam note, this Tom Ford vision of woman has shown that the contemporary woman is glamorous in her attitude, in the way she wears her self, then in the clothes. And this powerful message could be at the first easy to catch or to interpret but in the eyes of Tom Ford, it is strongly vivid and hard to revive. And that is what this collection makes so stunning and exceptional!
