BRING UP THE VOLUME BY ROKSANDA ILINCIC

Bold and colorful! Some design definitions are made to be the trademark of that one specific fashion creator. And this sentence could be the short and precise theme of what Roksanda Ilincic style is all about. She likes colors, she likes the structure, the sense of the voluminous. Even when her previous collection was more on the strong and sculpted cuts´ size, she has held still that eponymous vibe that is so characteristic when we talk about Roksanda Ilincic´s design. Her vision has always been so direct and brave, in every possible way, in the aspects of the colors, of the forms and the general vibe.

The same kind of nature was on the peak in her latest Fall 2019 Ready to Wear collection. But plus all mentioned above, there was still some rather innovative approach. Seems like she has dived into the pure romanticism and so, she has delivered to us something totally different, yet so Roksanda alike. The first look was all about the volume and form that was very airy and opulent. That visual opulence was boosted even more if we see closely the chromatic and dimensional solutions. The totally fluid and silky blouse with the puffed sleeves and the big bow. The mustard shade has gone really well with the coral bow tied around the neck highly improvisating the high-collar effect that will be the total highlight of the almost every outfit of this collection!

And just as we thought that the mustard dream was through, Roksanda Ilincic surprises us with the gorgeous dress in the same volume wise range. This time the bow was there too, but also two big ruffles that were placed on the skirt part of the dress. Although this dress might look rather heavy or monumental, the choice of the fabric has made everything to look so approachable and inviting to be worn. Another one, again, the monochrome dress was there and this time in the vibrant pink in the medium length size. But the effect was simply stunning and dazzling! The pure joy continues as the more silkier and ethereal textures have been sent down the runway. The coloristic nature has stayed on the more vivid side, so the total effect is the purely visual festivity.

But Roksanda Ilincic´s design is all about modern women. She likes that her design is part of everyday life, so she cuts on purpose all that romantic glamour and sets up the finish with the more casual items that were still very extra. The two-piece with the jacket and the baggy trousers or the samurai alike layered coat with the accents on the waist just to give the whole casual concept more structured effect.

Seems like the two faces of Roksanda´s style were here on the same level. The one was very romantic and opulently glamorous. And another was almost bulky, boy-ish alike. Both of them worked seemingly as the concept of the modern woman fashion changes. It is dynamic, fluid and yet so dreamy and wonderful! And we simply love it!
