If anyone has established its name in the section of bridal fashion, then that is definitely Vera Wang. She has become an epitome for pure and glamorous wedding dresses approved by celebrities. Seems like this fact has impacted Vera Wang´s style in bridal fashion. If you look at her dresses that have catapulted her at Olympus of a bridal style and compare with the latest ones, you can notice the huge change in her aesthetic. It has become deeper, thoughtful, almost decadently serious but in all of these frames, still stunning and simply gorgeous.
The same approach and aesthetic vibe were in her latest Bridal collection for Spring/Summer 2020. That step further is noticed in the absence of the all-white dresses. This fact has been noticeable in her latest bridal collections. Seems like she tries to go from the typical bride and go with the more twisted and edgy kind one. The first gown from this collection was made from the dirty pink colored lace texture. Accent at the dirty pink, that could seem or sound very off in the context of the bridal fashion, but here it adds that inevitably gorgeous drama that Vera Wang is all about!
And she goes even further. The two-colored version of the wedding dress that combines the beige creamy colored dress and the Castagno-brown top that falls like a train down the back all the way to the floor seeping length. Even her vision that considers white is in ice-blue kind of type or featured with the collar attachments in the total, for the bridal occasion, contrasty color like grey, deep green or even red. The silhouettes were totally flowy and not structured at all. They were in the collision perfectly with the vision of the untraditional bridal look that Vera Wang has been all about lately.
The most intricate was definitely the gown with the chiffon flowers on the skirt that were covered with another layer of chiffon. This destruction of the familiar wedding dress has really pushed further the imaginative limit of Vera Wang, which in the case of Bridal collection, is limitless and simply stunning. Or the last one presented in the editorial, with the all naked back and chiffon tucked all-over the place. Yes, this "messy" vibe was pretentious and it was done on point giving us the perfect new flare that Vera Wang name is all about!
This collection was made not in so typical kind of bridal aesthetic niche. It is untraditional yet so modern and glamorous at the same time asking for a bride that is confident, knows her style and celebrates her feminine beauty. The beauty that is complicated and put not in just one facette! That is what contemporary Vera Wang is and we simply love it!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the latest bridal style by Vera Wang? Which dress do you like the most?
