ARE WE FASHION THIRSTY, OR WHAT?!

As New York Fashion Week has physically started it has renewed that known buzz that only fashion shows can bring. The excitement, the vibe that has so dearly to us, fashion fans and lovers. I think we all have been fed of online shows or collections being displayed only in the editorial kind of way. The fashion show is called A Show with the reason, the music, the A-Z front-row(ers) this has all been missed and we fashionistas are here to enjoy and to celebrate the freedom that only fashion can bring.

So, are we fashion thirsty?! OH YESSS!! With their carpets rolling on, from Cannes to Venetia, from Zendaya looking stunning in anything she wore to the famous Jessica Chastain moment, the fashion is here and what better timing to start Fashion Week than these days.

The New York Fashion Week has been going on and there have been really interesting collections to see. We all know what New York in the fashion circles represents. Maybe it is not so innovative like the one in London or glamorous like the one in Paris or Milan but we love NYFW and that is a fact!

But let us take a look at one of the pioneers when it comes to great fashion in their concept of New York Fashion Week and that is Prabal Gurung Spring 2022 Ready To Wear collection. The breeze of fresh and very stylish air. With these words, I could describe this collection. From light and silky materials that flow really effortlessly and refined.

The big trend that has started this Summer and will go on into the next Spring/Sumer season, the seductive and cute cut-outs on the waist boosting the appealing aura to the coolest. The airy mini-dresses with the cute and puffy short lines accentuate the youthful and the urban undertone of this collection.

The elegant notes were kept in the shape of the all-fringed outfits with the glamorous midi and long dresses. If you are a pants fan the ensemble built from the sleek trousers and sharp-edged blazer with the peplum attachment can go easily hand to hand with any chic dress. So there is something for everyone.

Not to mention the coloristic solutions that are on the pastel side of the spectrum undertoning the easy glam that this collection was all about. Everything was in shapes that were soft and minor and cuts that were exciting and easy to wear and yet giving that WOW effect.

Are we fashion-thirsty? Yes! And yes to this collection has introduced us into the world that we knew, the world that is maybe still here. A world of good fashion and better times! And I am here for it totally with every joy!

What do you think about this collection? Have you missed the "real# fashion shows? Which fashion week are you excited about the most?

A BLAST FROM THE PAST!

Fresh and witty with the known elements. With these words the latest Spring/Summer 2021 collection by Chanel. Seems like Virginie Viard has found her design signature that corresponds so in-tuned with the classic Chanel aesthetic. The Parisian chic with the note of the famous Gabrielle Chanel tomboy-ish approach was the highlight and the leading line in the creative signature for this collection.

The famous jersey piece was there incorporated on almost every outfit but this time it was more softened and voluminous on the shoulders and light accentuated on the waistline. There were plenty of t-shirts and pullovers with the CHANEL logo all over it. Paired with the Bermudas alike trousers were reminiscing the perfect French-style uniform.

With the plenty of micros and mini accessories from the bags to the bags-alike-phone-chargers, the collection was an homage to the Chanel aesthetic and those topics for which this house has been known for: the subtle feminine side paired with the high elegance but in the very wearable and approachable mannerism. For Chanel, this was the look back but in a good way, or to be more precise, a blast from the past, the secure fit that goes perfectly with the expectations of the old but it is modern and interesting enough for the new customers.

Honestly, Chanel never goes out of style. And with this collection that could be seen as the playful manifesto of it, it has brought us another exciting and beautiful collection full of amazing pieces and style inspirations!

What do you think about this collection? Do you find it very Chanel and which looks do you like the most?

FASHION, THANK YOU!

Fashion must go on and with that motto, this season's Fashion Weeks have been altered. Mostly in the web versions, editorials, or live stream options, only a few of the fashion houses have organized the shows with the public.

One of them was the one by Valentino. It is amazing to see how many collections, including this one too, have become very low key but with a huge romantic twist. Seems like in this COVID situation, fashion has become very gentle, almost assertive but in a good way.

This collection was all of that and more. The simplicity kept in the usually very show-stopping approach, this time has involved in the level of light and sleek silhouette that was very ethereal and airy, very soft and luminous, like Pierpaolo Piccioli has decided to soften all the glamour giving us an invitation to the reachable and so easy wearable ensembles.

Dresses in mostly long versions, with little details on them, we're in the correlation with the coloristic themes that were very in the aquatic kind of mode.

The world and life, in general, have stepped into another level of  the COVID era, very uncertain times are here a very long time for now, so the return of the fashion in its own rail tracks has been really something to be happy for and for that Fashion, Thank You!

What do you think about the current fashion scene, do you miss the typical fashion or this one in the "new normal" era that we hope we will not be stuck forever?

Thank you for your attention!

BACK TO BLACK BY ELIE SAAB

Elie Saab is known for his magical and purely glamorous design. The style he serves is something any woman could relate too, especially the celebrities. His fashion is to be seen in and it celebrates the beauty of a woman with huge luxury addictions!

It seems like for the latest Fall 2020 collection he has turned into the deeper and thoughtful design that is rather monochrome and down to Earth. In this collection, the black was the main color that in the interpretation of Elie Saab still looks exciting and picturesque.

This effect he has got with the heterogeneous textures. From the laced ones to the silky tones. From the hourglass silhouette to the more playful ones in short editions. Add to that a detail like the big bows, and you have the perfect collection.

Of course, there were some coloristic heterogeneous looks, like the ones in emerald green it powerfully red. The sweeping gown, that is Elie Saab such dear choice, in all of these coloristic examples, has looked dazzling and simply alluring!

What do you think about this collection? Which look do you find the most interesting?

Thank you for your attention!

RICHARD QUINN'S FASHION REVOLUTION

London Fashion Week has been in full spin. With the attitude as the fashion week that is the most courageous when we think about the experimental attribute that is characteristic for it, seems that this year was so far the best one

If we take a look just in the collection that has almost swept away all collections by its innovative artistic idea is definitely the one by Richard Quinn. It seems like with this collection he has unleashed the pushing forward pure fashion ethos that has been gone, well with the sad departure of the iconic Alexander McQueen!

Exactly this kind of neo-McQueen-isms was on the first ensembles sent down the runway. The metallic textures that evoked the villain or knight era in the totally trendy/savage kind if way embodied in the dresses and jackets or pant have hit at the first glimpse what the fashion should be!

That 'Oh, so Couture' moment was gradually stepping down in the favor of the famous Quinn floral prints involved in the rich and opulently voluminous silhouettes. Even the drama was gone when the models were wearing a smile on their faces as the show was going towards the final exits.

And they were only but plein. With the stunning eye for micro-dresses that still allure in all their glamorous glory and with the drama pure indoctrinated version of a wedding dress, Richard Quinn has finalized this collection celebrating the hoy of being The Creator and Designer that has brought a breath of fresh style air in almost common gone quotidian fashion!

What do you think about this collection? Do you think it is too.exoerimwntal for the concept of Ready To Wear?
