The new year and the new seasons in the fashion but in the most exciting time of the year, the numerous awards season where all those fashion glorious and flamboyant ensembles could be rocked! Yesterday the Golden Globes were presented and at this point, I honestly don´t have the favorite dress or outfit to declare which is sad!
I always look for that WOWZA effect but it has been gone for a while, well for almost a decade, so I don´t know it is that the fashion is gone wrong or maybe the stylists are not so good enough as they were in the past. But yet, there are few awards to be held, so let us keep our fingers crossed! Ok, that could be a theme for another post but since this is the first post in the 2020 year, I have chosen to talk about the latest collection and maybe get the inspiration for this year´s award season!
If anyone has established the perfect but not save and so refined aesthetic for the red carpet is definitely Monique Lhuillier. Her design is mostly rounded with the stunning gowns and dresses with a huge feminine impact! Sometimes the less is better, or to be precise, why complicate a simple and things that work!
It seems like this was a motto when the word was for Fall 2020 Ready To Wear collection in the house of Monique Lhuillier! One thing that goes undertoned when we talk about Monique Lhuillier is definitely her love for the lightness in the textures. That is why her dresses are the perfect choice for the red carpets. They follow the body moves but still dazzle very structurally friendly and "Imposant"!
In the concept of ML, everything is in the equilibrium, nothing is too much or too little! Like the long sweeping length dresses that fall very soft and ethereal. And to give it a glamorous swing you have the cutouts or the naked off one shoulder moment! The prints are, just like everything, very refined and almost on the level of the micro-sizes. This only shows how tasteful and well rounded the design and the style vision by Monique Lhuillier is.
And if you desire something that will "rock your boat" kind of wardrobe piece, in this collection she offers the ladylike Le Smoking version with the mini length edition. For everyone else, there are plenty of embellished materials, fringes, ultra big bows, and capes. All spiced with the few fuchsia vibrant colored ensembles just to give it a visual boost or to make you fall instantly in this collection!
If you look for something extra that is still wearable and approachable, free from the stiff and reduced structures, a real feminine fashion, this collection could juice your fashion appetites! I mean what is not to like about it! I hope some of the A-list celebrity stylists take a look at it, to deliver a WOWZA moment on the red carpet, finally!
What do you think about this collection? Which look do you find the most interesting? Are there any red carpet moment that you find the best ever?
Thank you for your attention!
