There is something so nostalgic and quite story-telling in the case of the design made by Erdem. The vintage spirit is something that has become so dear to this London based fashion house. But that nostalgic is not old or late. Uncontrary! It is fresh, contemporary and so high elegant. In the world when fashion has been so deep into the casual vibes, Erdem has stayed to itself and has been nourishing the romantic and the pure classic fashion style that is so inviting and not assertive at all.
That feeling was presented and kept so vivid in the latest Pre-Fall 2019 collection. With the dress as the main piece around which the whole design and style story has its own juxtaposition, the romantic wisps, and the parameters of Erdem aesthetic must be existing in the area of the nice dressing where the imperative is to be elegant but youthful and vibrant. This style of spirit is kept in the floral on the floral prints, especially here where the floral motives are situated on the socks too. The floral synergy dictates the easy-going approach on the colors, so in Erdem even in this collection, we see the deep shades with the few interruptions of the light pink.
The dresses are in the length midi or maxi. With the sleek silhouette for the daily looks or the more flowy ones connected with the more night elegance, the dictate of the dress in the story of Erdem is inevitable and it never really gets boring. The cute suited jackets and blouses are there just to top the imperative of the deep classy fashion that we so much like. With the cool display in the editorial with the Ancient Greek sculptures in the back, this whole editorial gives us the pure fashion delicates! And we love it!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like Erdem style and floral prints? Which dress do you like the most?

THE FASHION AQUARELLE BY CAROLINA HERRERA
So many famous fashion houses are going through the changes considering the new names that have come to the head frontline of the creative strive. That same situation could be considered a rather successful fashion transfer with Wes Gordon on the head of Carolina Herrera. The vision of the new and innovative that for the imperative has to bring the new and youthful fashion buyers is something that Wes Gordon is very driven and focused. With that on his mind, he still respects the creative laws of the visuals and aesthetic of the more traditional Carolina Herrera. But this time, the dresses are more modern, the colors are more vibrant, the editorials are more artistically rounded, and well everything is edgier yet so classy!
That free spirit was at the peak in the latest Pre-Fall 2019 collection. What catches the attention is the form of the colorful editorial. With the aquarelle layout in the background that has looked amazing paired with the same coloristic solutions on the clothes, this collection has been really joyful and simply stunning fashion story. The midi-dress in the vibrant yellow with the slight voluminous opulence has had definitely something of the fresh and new whisp. The wavy, cropped shoulders top in the gently pink paired with the deep red sleek trousers has had definitely that Herrera vibe but in the more contemporary note.
The show-stopping was definitely the long dresses that were, even more, wider in the forms. The volume is definitely something that has occupied Wes Gordon and his focus on that part looks simply fresh and new. The lack of the famous Herrera ensemble with the casual blouse on the top and more ball-gown alike dress with the accents on the waistline here is not even noticeable because of the "Fashion-Gasm" that this collection has to offer! The pure divine was all embellished dress with the puffy long sleeves and V-cut on the front in the mixture of the pastel colors in pink and blue. The playful factor has been even more accentuated with the "caught-in-the-move" poses of the models. This approach has refueled the new beauty that comes out when the clothes are on the move!
The all or nothing was definitely in the long, again, and flowy but rich in the waves dresses. The white one, the pink one, or the tangerine one, they have really given this whole collection the artistic touch that Herrera was not so all about. But, Wes Gordon consciously brings us into his aesthetics that are exciting, new, inviting, joyful and simply divine! This collection will make you fall in love in fashion again. No traces of the casuals, just pure fashion but still so handy, everyday appropriate and approachable! More of that we can not ask, right!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the more artistic approach of Wes Gordon aesthetic? Which dress do you like the most?

THE MODERN CLEOPATRAS BY CHANEL
The quantity and the diversity of the artistic designer strive by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel is immense. Karl Lagerfeld always finds out the new and totally spectacular aesthetic for Chanel that collides still with its classic codes but still looks and appears fresh and modern. The Invention in the house of Chanel is not an imperative at all but yet appears to be so dynamic and exciting bringing out the new faces of the famous Chanel vibes. Nothing less was in the case of Chanel Pre-Fall 2019 collection.
Seems like the theme that was occupating Lagerfeld this time was something so new and different. His version of the modern Cleopatras interpretations is really something dazzling and it really has brought the new light into the aesthetic of Chanel. That innovation was definitely in the elongated silhouette that has corresponded with Ancient Egypt outfits. The "Toga" alike inspired ensembles presented in the form of the long and sleek dresses with the long midi-coat on the top is definitely the step into the new if we look at the past collections.
The elongated silhouette asks for the more chimeric and serious feeling and that feeling was there definitely. It was even more highlighted with the socks in the golden colors that corresponded with the sleek golden boots. The full Cleopatra drama was on the full swing with the famous Egyptian eyeliner on the models´ faces. The combination of the tweed texture and the golden pieces was the perfect mixture of the two traditions, the Ancient one and the Chanel one! The long dresses with the bulky and light voluminous short sleeves have alluded at the female pharaon ensemble within this line also corresponds with the female power that Madame Chanel was all about. This time it was brought into the totally new edition!
The overall feeling of the Egyptian vibes was in the air. If anyone knows how to re-interpret the theme into the Chanel theme, Karl Lagerfeld is definitely the right one. He feels and knows the pulse of the modern woman and contemporary generation. With this historical swing, he once again showed how amazing, almost in the border of the smart-costuming his design is. And that is the most stunning thing in his work and in the spirit of today´s Chanel!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the Cleopatra theme? Do you find interesting this aesthetic theme?

VERSACE STATE OF MIND
Pre-Fall collections are the autumnal epitome of the Resort collections. They often are presented in the other city or country which was the ultimate "Spiritus Movens" in the if not visual then in the presentational sense. In the case of Versace which is a Milano based fashion brand the latest Pre-Fall collection for 2019 was held in the form of the runway show in New York City. With that on our mind, the designer highlights were the mixture of the Versace archives and the strength and the power of the urban chic warrior-ess that is so common vision when we think about the style of the Big Apple, a.k.a of the City That Never Sleeps!
For the fashion knowers and fans the sense of the old that have become new spirit and whisps, is something that has been very often in the case of Versace aesthetic lately. That doesn´t mean that Donatella Versace has left without the creative strive or vision. It is just her way to pay the homage to her beloved brother Gianni who invented those vibrant Versace prints, the nylon textures in the symbiosis with the cashmere seductive pieces. In this collection the "Deja-Vu" factor is strong and it looks almost like the iconic and nostalgic vision brought in the mannerism of what Versace by Donatella is all about; seductive, strong, sexy and elegant.
The safety pins on the dresses have alluded at the famous dress worn by Elizabeth Hurley. That was really one of the most iconic red carpet moments. Or the last dress that was worn by the famous model of the late nineties Amber Valetta, which in the cut and form was totally similar to the famous deep cut "green dress" that has catapulted Jennifer Lopez into the immediate stardom! Indeed, those were some really strong and anthological red carpet moments in which the huge part was thankful to the Versace.
But let´s go back to the current fashion "State Of Mind"! The shiny textured jacket in the cognac brown paired with the sleek asymmetric silky midi-dress and the cashmere top underneath worn by Kaia Gerber which was the first look of the collection has definitely something old/something new vibe. The fully printed version of "Le Smoking" in the Versace prints, in yellow, white and black has definitely that refined note that Versace is all about. Versace likes the seductive note but enhanced with the chic and high elegant influence.
Among the glamorous dresses which were mainly thought to be focused on the night-wear glam, there were plenty of the youthful targeted pieces like the vinyl dresses in yellow or black, the high elegant versions of the little black dress, the play with the casual notes in the form of the T-shirts with the logo like I Heart NY or simply Versace on the top of the elegant and chic dresses. The concept was definitely with the highlights on the modern and energetic style that can be connected with NYC!
And this collection was all about that! Bringing the new stuff, the new consumers or introducing them to the iconic looks by this famous fashion brand and re-inventing it into the cult of the urban, hype, frenzy gorgeous contemporary spirit!
What do you think about this collection? Are you familiar with the mentioned Versace iconic looks and dresses from the red carpet?
