JIL SANDER RESORT 2019 COLLECTION

How minimalistic is enough, or how minimalistic can we go?! Seems like this was the design and style question or inspiration, to be more precise in the house of Jil Sander. Being known as the pure minimalistic approach in the fashion aesthetic, Jil Sander has definitely built the very own style approach which is, although purely minimalistic and pure, still exciting and seems like Jil Sander has many more to tell in this kind of design range.

In today´s era where the brands are re-branding or re-inventing their personal design signatures where once they looked edgy and playful, now nourish the clean and polished aesthetic and vice verse, seems that in Jil Sander have the constant love for the minimalistic approach which is still in the measures of the fashion mainstream and not wondering in the avant-garde or too many experimental genres.

The Resort 2019 collection was all of that. Presented in the simple plain layout editorial, the garments were totally shining in all their simplicity glory. The concept of the new volume has been the leading design theme in this collection. The baggy accents on the coats, the pants and skirts as well have undertoned the ultra-contemporary and modern spin of Sander elegance.

The coloristic range in the minimalistic concept is always not so wide. It consists of the main two, three colors, in this case, the white and the black, as well as the light creamy beige and mocha brown. The stunning were all-chessboard monoprints ensembles in red, light blue and beige. This allures the next big trend which is to be expected in the next season. As well as the statement accessories which are here presented in totally edgy and playful perspective. Seems like they have been the prolonged side of this whole minimalistic concept.

This collection has shown how simple elegance works in the modern and almost alternative kind of vibe. With the unexpected cuts and forms which (de)construct the main and known fashion story, or in this case pieces, it shows how fashion is still exciting, new, fresh and interesting without many experiments, actual new paroles nature or sassy seductive note! Jil Sander is all about being mellow but with huge taste and personality!
