So many famous fashion houses are going through the changes considering the new names that have come to the head frontline of the creative strive. That same situation could be considered a rather successful fashion transfer with Wes Gordon on the head of Carolina Herrera. The vision of the new and innovative that for the imperative has to bring the new and youthful fashion buyers is something that Wes Gordon is very driven and focused. With that on his mind, he still respects the creative laws of the visuals and aesthetic of the more traditional Carolina Herrera. But this time, the dresses are more modern, the colors are more vibrant, the editorials are more artistically rounded, and well everything is edgier yet so classy!
That free spirit was at the peak in the latest Pre-Fall 2019 collection. What catches the attention is the form of the colorful editorial. With the aquarelle layout in the background that has looked amazing paired with the same coloristic solutions on the clothes, this collection has been really joyful and simply stunning fashion story. The midi-dress in the vibrant yellow with the slight voluminous opulence has had definitely something of the fresh and new whisp. The wavy, cropped shoulders top in the gently pink paired with the deep red sleek trousers has had definitely that Herrera vibe but in the more contemporary note.
The show-stopping was definitely the long dresses that were, even more, wider in the forms. The volume is definitely something that has occupied Wes Gordon and his focus on that part looks simply fresh and new. The lack of the famous Herrera ensemble with the casual blouse on the top and more ball-gown alike dress with the accents on the waistline here is not even noticeable because of the "Fashion-Gasm" that this collection has to offer! The pure divine was all embellished dress with the puffy long sleeves and V-cut on the front in the mixture of the pastel colors in pink and blue. The playful factor has been even more accentuated with the "caught-in-the-move" poses of the models. This approach has refueled the new beauty that comes out when the clothes are on the move!
The all or nothing was definitely in the long, again, and flowy but rich in the waves dresses. The white one, the pink one, or the tangerine one, they have really given this whole collection the artistic touch that Herrera was not so all about. But, Wes Gordon consciously brings us into his aesthetics that are exciting, new, inviting, joyful and simply divine! This collection will make you fall in love in fashion again. No traces of the casuals, just pure fashion but still so handy, everyday appropriate and approachable! More of that we can not ask, right!
