CHANEL SPRING/SUMMER 2017 COUTURE

If there is more anticipated runway show of the haute couture fashion week than it is defenitely the one from Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld always makes more than just pure fashion visual impostations and dispalys; for Mr. Lagerfeld runway shows have true theatrical mannerism and this show was not exception either! This time the show scene was more purified variation of runway with glass flor which reflected ensembles making the most dazzling illuminating game. And the big vases with white flowers were like a touch of nature whisps. But lets talk about clothes!

The show started with typically Chanel-ish ensembles, tweed pieces in form of sleek waisted jackets and pencil skirts. That first look turned gradually in more elegant ensembles with more voluminous down part skirts. Interesting wavy constructions which gave the silhouette extraordinary touch were highlights of the collection. The high glamour factor was hidden torwards the end of the show; the gowns were high feminine and elegant with crystals embelishments or ruffled overloaded stunning gown worn by Lagerfeld current muse Lily Rose Depp.

Here I have to mention the variety of textures and patterns by which this collection really stands out; already mentioned tweed materials in soft pastel colors, then more glittery embelished textures in night dresses. The range is very wide if we mention the fringes and ruffles which gave the pieces more playful note. This was for sure the most heterogenic and far more glamorous Chanel haute couture collection ever. I am still captivated by magic of the last dress! Mr. Lagerfeld is a couture magician, and the fashion fans love to be spelled by his couture "bravuras"!
