These heterogenic vibes in the aesthetic sense seemed to be the perfect elements of her latest Resort collections. Usually, the Resort collections are all about making the small different directions than the usual inspiration strives. Seems that this fact has inspired Reem Acra for the collection which was toned down totally from the glitz and glitter bringing some new elements into her design signature. First, what was noticeable was the silhouette. Usually, Reem Acra silhouettes are all about enhancing the woman body, the hourglass silhouette is a must. Here we have the total opposite thing.
The volume which was still controllable and almost caught in the sculpted niche was on the point. The dresses were long, without any accentuated features, just the waistline at the end of the editorial. But the majority of the dresses were brought in the cape alike nature. They looked almost cozy but still monumental in all of their forms. The details like the big petals alike features on the shoulders and sleeves, the big bows scarfs, the feather features on the ends of some of the gowns. The classic Reem Acra style was presented in the form of the naked shoulders dresses with the accent on the waistline.
This Resort collection has shown the other face of Reem Acra lady. She is still glamorous and refined but this time with some modern romanticism and nostalgia which give her low key resonance. In this case, the less was more, definitely! And we simply love this new Acra Woman!
