If anything we can say surely is that in this collection there was no nostalgia on the scene. The modern and edgy cuts look likely to be the groundbreaker for the aesthetic of the Herrera house of fashion of the future. Seems like the traditional and classic Herrera design, a white masculine blouse on the top of the gown alike skirt, was not on the sight. There were plenty of the vibrant coloristic choices which have been lately more frequent in the Herrera design.
If something Herrera knows and has been doing amazingly for years is the dresses combined with the effortless and easy to wear chic. In this farewell collection, the stars were dresses with light and high feminine silhouette. The modern and edgy style was hidden in the fringes overload blouses and coats on the top of sleek skirts or vice versa, the fringy skirt in the combination with the sleek blouse.
The stunning were the evening dresses. With the chiffon texture which has dictated the effortless and so Herrera beauty, these dresses were the perfect round up of the last collection made by Carolina Herrera herself. The pure visual and dazzling climax were the last three dresses. The red ball gown alike one with the off-shoulders details, the black, and lavender blue with the double bows on the front side and the last one in the simply Herrera silhouette with the sleek top and wavy skirt on the bottom with the hidden pockets. We can here only say thanks to Carolina Herrera, to her talent for making women beautiful!
