The design strives and the leading inspiration for creative work of Iris van Herpen have always been on the more experimental side of the Haute Couture. With this brave and innovative approach to the design, her collections are always on point in the inspirational kind of way. There is always a hidden story which is well incorporated into the collection display which still nourishes the main mannerism creative.
The same kind of feeling was in the latest Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018 Collection. The pure and innovative statement in the textures and materials which look so edgy and ethereal in the most dazzling kind of way. Three-dimensional prints are something which has become the regular and the trademark thing in the work of Iris van Herpen. With the new approach to the materials and the textures, she immediately creates the innovative and original pieces with the huge artistic kind of nature.
Usually, if you follow the work of Iris van Herpen, her silhouettes are stiff and sculpted. Her love for the sculpting features is here on the low point. The more fluid and flowy silhouette was on the sight but with the accents on the sleek and neat kind of design performance. The experimental wisps were in the textures were all the beauty was hidden. The artistic concept was well rounded up with the unusual shoes alluring at the modern sculpted Geisha shoe.
This collection has shown how Haute Couture can be full of artistic potentials. It shows that fashion is more than just the beauty of the good dresses. It is the way of reception the world and presenting it in the total new light, in the wearable beauties like these ones from Iris van Herpen!
What do you think about this collection? What are your thoughts on the textures and forms? Is it innovative enough for you?
Thank you for the attention!
