GIAMBATTISTA VALLI FALL 2018 HAUTE COUTURE

Just a few days ago the house of Giambattista Valli has presented their Resort 2019 Collection and here we are on the next step, the Haute Couture collection for Fall 2018. That is how fashion works, it is a non-stop organism where the imagination and design inventions in the design sense are imperative and must be followed if the fashion house wants to save the spot on the mainstream fashion sky. This Haute Couture collection has shown the Giambattista Valli style at its finest code, and yes the plenty of the chiffon ruffles were on the spotlight here, with some new visual and design refreshments.

The famous Valli silhouette with the short on the front and decadently long on the back has been the highlight in this collection too. But this time the romantic and flirty note was toned down with the more opulent dresses which were all in the volume and sculpted features. For sure, the volume is something that Giambattista Valli loves and adores and it is not afraid to work within that niche of the form. But in this collection that volume was boosted with the structured and clear textures which looked extravagant and purely glamorous.

But, that glamour was interrupted with the much wearable and youthful ensembles which were made of the light baggy pants and the stunning tops which in all their dimension were alluring the micro version of the Valli style a.k.a the ruffles. Oh, talking about the ruffles, of course, there were those typical Giambattista Valli with the ruffles overload brought in the cascading kind of form in the vibrant colors like fuchsia, red, pistachio green and the other pastel shades. The plenty of mini florals were here too, just to give this whole collection a romantic touch. But the size of them, the mini ones, looked again so contemporary and fresh, avoiding the Couture drama and serving us the easy glamour!

Oh, and again, when we talk about the easy wearable factor, one feature or the accessory was kept from the already mentioned Resort collection for 2019. And those were by the fringes boosted shoes which here were introduced in the flats kind of mannerism, and that move was the perfect way to accentuate the flirty and modern side of this collection. The same fringes alike pattern was featured on the sleeves too, giving us that perfect "Oh, Couture" moment without being dramatic and over jaded.

This collection has had so many amazing pieces which were there to function as the pure Couture pieces which could still be incorporated in the everyday style without being extravagant and too much! Seems that Giambattista Valli likes the idea of the wearable fashion, whether the word is about the Haute Couture or Ready To Wear collection. Valli is that name which combines these two fashion segments making the style orientations fun, original and simply beautiful! And that is the pure mission of the fashion which is successfully completed!
