Knitwear with the most stylish potential ever! With these words, the latest Pre-Fall 2019 collection by Dior could be described. With the innovative spin in the textured sense, the wool and the knits, combined with the standard Maria Grazia Chiuri design handwriting, this collection has shown the new and fresh face of Dior for Pre-Fall season. The muted colors that are mostly in the autumnal range, like deep red or brown with the interruptions of black, were the chromatic choice that rounded up this whole fashion story.
Seems like with every collection Maria Grazia Chiuri develops the new and fresh fashion statement that embodies the general aesthetic of her Dior signature but still gives the strong picture and message of what new era in Dior is all about. The idea of empowering that has been all around in this year all over the fashion mainstream sphere has been re-built in the code of Dior. And this time it has shown the beauty of the more assertive type of feminine beauty with a different kind of fabrics installment. The embroidery in this collection has gone from the vintage knitwear to the typical Dior sheer textured story.
The layering in this Pre-Fall collection has been mastered amazingly. So, in most of the ensembles, we have the cozy classic coat (mostly in two-line buttons structured) on the top of the turtlenecks in the same coloristic range and the fluent A-lined skirt. The tomboy kind of touch was inserted by the masculine spit jacket in olive green but softened immediately with the all sheer from chiffon made dress. This oxymoronic simulacrum of the edgy masculinity and the gentle femininity is definitely something that Chiuri has been on the inspirational strive. And it has been going really well with the all casual endorsement that has been all over the fashion scene lately!
The more nightwear kind of side was definitely in the form of the typical Dior dresses that have become a must of every collection and the designer signature of Chiuri. The all sheer and see-through dresses with the shiny embellishments but this time this whole story was boosted also with the micro-embroidered features. The seductive note here, you think was on the peak, but in Maria Grazia Chiuri case everything is always so refined and classy! And so were these outfits too serving us the beauty of a woman and the beauty of a dressing up!
This collection was innovative in the range of the textures. The decision to be oriented more on the knitwear was definitely a new thing in the case of Dior. But it was nicely integrated into the typically Dior style thing, the sheer notes, the high feminine but refined design. So it has offered something new yet so Dior, so Chiuri! And we love it!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the knitwear textures in this collection? Which ensemble do you like the most?
Thank you for the attention!
