THE DARK ROMANTICISM BY ALEXANDER McQUEEN

Decadently sweet! Seems like this aesthetic cords are occupying Sarah Burton´s work at Alexander McQueen. The oxymoronic touch that has kept throughout the whole AM concept is definitely something Sarah Burton knows and holds strongly creating her own strong artistical vision of this famous British brand. The dark and the nostalgic, yet sassy and vulnerable. These strides are something you can expect when you think about the current Alexander McQueen. And all of that brought to the level of "royalty" glamour. The synergy of these all aspects delivers always a wonderful collection that is full and talkative!

Nothing less was the latest Fall 2019 Ready To Wear collection. The mixture of the softened masculinity brought in the sharp cut forms and hybrids of male smoking interrupted unapologetically with the ruffles on the shoulders just to break the known factor of smart dressing and bringing the gear looking from a feminine point of view very strong! This "interruptions" in the female and male dressings are definitely something that brings out the strong accent of Sarah Burton´s style! Consciously direct and made for the urban heroines that celebrate their feminine nature in all its glory!

 Even the floral prints in this concept looked very savage and riot alike. With the hard coated accessories like leather belts or punk boots, the story of romantic in Sarah Burton´s scenery is never too "kitschy" or cute! It is strong, direct, bold and somehow different. But yet so gorgeous and simply stunning. If we just look at the ruffled dresses, especially those ones in pink and vibrant red, we can only say that they are breathtaking and glamorous at the fullest. The almost Couture alike drama in those big ruffles alluring at the roses, the on purposely nonchalant approach on the whole tailoring which, again is in the contrast with the sharp and neat silhouettes from the beginning of the show.

This collection shows how big and amazing creative mind of Sarah Burton is. The artistically full and even fashion story that she has delivered us, again has taken us to the perfect design dream full of new and modern femininity! And we simply applause to that!
