What Alessandro Dell’Acqua has been creating for Rochas has been really on the top of the every fashion connoisseurs taste. The effortless chic and glam that is on the thin line between the Haute Couture and everyday ensembles have become an epitome for this French fashion brand. Alessandro Dell’Acqua has been known for his impeccable orientation towards the more minimalistic style and design respecting the dictate of the feminine form and silhouette. But seems that being a creative mind in Rochas has enrolled the much opulent and a little more extravagant guard and aesthetic that in every case is still on point and so wearable!
The latest collection Resort 2020 was all about that! The exclusive spirit of dressing up that likes the casual spin and yet seems so catchy and bold. The sense of Couture drama was on the hint even in the case of the first look that was presented. The editorial that was simple with the plain background just to give these stunning ensembles all the glory. So the first dress was in the gentle pink made of sleek satin alluring the cascade-alike silhouette. This dress has held the spirit of Alessandro Dell’Acqua design in Rochas, and that is very oxymoronic alike, with the decadent lines and simple textures.
Hanging in that casual but boosted vibe, the next look was a mixture of a bomber jacket and organza maxi-dress all in one monochromatic brown color. The sporty nature of the jacket was toned down with the high-glam dress and yet this look seems so effortless and approachable. Or the almost same combination only on the top was menswear-inspired pullover and sleek satin sweeping-gown in yellow. Same effect, yet so distinctive and fresh!
The dresses are the item that Alessandro Dell’Acqua adores. And here we have had them in a full swing. From the chiffon ones, with the rich skirt and simple solution on the top, or the more suited ones in the length of a midi-dress and accentuated waistline. And, talking about the silhouette. Rochas nourishes easy and flowy form giving enough volume that is still moveable friendly only interrupted by the few voluminous forms in the end just to boost that Couture swing!
What do you think about this collection? Which look do you find the most interesting? Is Rochas dress something you could wear?
