THE WIND OF CHANGE IN FENDI

It is definitely a new period for Fendi. Since the late Karl Lagerfeld who was the leading creative director in his footsteps has come the owner of this famous Italian fashion brand. Silvia Venturini Fendi was not an outsider by any mean, she was very in touch with the aesthetic by Karl Lagerfeld so to continue where he left was something of the familiar area. But still, the challenge was there and even for the collection for Fall 2019 Haute Couture.

This collection was a second one in the creative direction by Ms. Venturini Fendi and, although the  Fendi drive was there, still there was the aesthetic that was a little different. The step further was done in the textures that in this collection, were more heterogenic and opulent. Yet, the famous Fendi luxurious touch was there and the high glamorous refinery too.

The first look was definitely something new for Fendi if we talk and think in the concept of Haute Couture. The white ensemble featured by the wide trousers and coat with the balloon sleeves was the more approachable fashion vision of Fendi style. The very feminine spirit was kept on the dresses that this time was in the gown length and drama. There were also more sleek silhouettes that looked in the texture sense very opulent and direct.

If for anything this collection was excited, that were the textures. From the furry stripes, pierced leather, marble prints, and mosaic-tiles alike. The spectrum was really wide and that was the beauty of this collection. Brave, a light at some moments like those organza dresses, the heterogenic spirit is something that in the house of Fendi has got a further upgrade to the more diverse beauty and fashion. It is something Fendi fans will love and the new possible consumers will not stay immune at its charm!

What are your thoughts on this collection? Do you see the change the Fendi style and design in the latest two collections?

Thank you for your attention!
