PFW: CHANEL S/S 2019 READY TO WEAR COLLECTION

There is that specific kind of world and beauty that Karl Lagerfeld sets up for his fashion shows in Chanel. The sense for scenery which is grandiose and full of the story-telling motives has become a trademark for his runway presentations. The audience has been every time struck with the magnificent plot which is the perfect intro to the collection that they are about to see. That wow-effect in the recipient sense is the strong ace in the sleeve, although to be honest Karl Lagerfeld doesn´t need that spectacle for the audience to be seduced. Just the first glimpse at the clothes and they immediately fall in love because Lagerfeld knows how to carry the legacy of the house Chanel but still successfully import and elevate the Chanel design, in general, making it contemporary and trendy!

The same case was with the Spring/Summer 2019 Ready To Wear collection. With the setup being held in Grand Palais which has become an obligatory thing for Chanel and this time it was transformed into the sandy tropical beach with the real waves strolling down the runway. To boost the whole beach experience the models were barefoot wearing their shoes demonstratively in the hands. The whole sensation was the mixture of the original beach looks which could be designed by Madame Coco Chanel herself with the contemporary mixture of the casual, boosted with light voluminosity in the forms and modern fresh face look on the models with the glossy eyes and vibrant fuchsia lips.

With the first opening look which was more on the "office-runaway" kind of side with the famous tweedy blazer and skirt with two crossed over bags, Lagerfeld has given us the hint what this whole fashion story will be about. The easy ongoing form with the trademark famous ensembles this time was given the refreshed look. And here we have the perfect example of how Lagerfeld amazingly recycles the traditional forms into the new and more contemporary ones. The tweed interrupted by the lace features on the ends gives us the beautifully elevated Chanel look.

The long and flowier skirts cut on the front have given the impeccable antipode of the Chanel archives. This time the story has been more trendy and on point with the bulky and statement jewelry which will definitely have the big come back the next Spring/Summer season. The pure dazzling effect was held in the form of delicate black dresses. Whether it was for the more quotidian occasion which demands more lighter fabrics of for the more nocturnal outfits which were more dramatic. All in black with the shiny embellishments or in the pure chiffon see-through materials for the pure Summer dream by Chanel! 

The collections by Chanel never disappoint. The plenty of inspiration and the thoughtful work that celebrates the legacy of this famous French fashion house corresponds equally not just in the fashion and design sense but in the show itself. That is why the shows by Chanel are always the most anticipated ones. And guess what! They never fail or disappoint. Here we have had the gorgeous beach getaway with stunning looks and design. Who could resist all of that!
