COSMIC DIARIES BY VALENTINO

When the trademark is a name then the transfer from the designer which we know to the new one can be little tricky and at the style point confusing. But this was not the case with the Mr. Valentino Garavani and his designer "offspring" Pierpaolo Piccioli. The Piccioli has successfully done the job with that design transfer bringing and inhaling the new visual pushes to the Valentino house of fashion.

This was obvious in the latest Spring/Summer 2018 Ready-To-Wear Collection held at the Paris Fashion Week. The concept was modern, youthful, with clean design vision. The match of elegance with witty and playful twists have made Valentino label ready to experiment and to be fashionable bold and brave. And that is is fashion business big deal. If you have the courage for the style innovations but still maintaining the essentials of the house in general, then you can survive in the fashion industry.

But let us see closer what was this collection about! The body cross layered cuts on the light coats, the shiny embellished bomber jackets on the top of short trousers featured with numerous big pockets. The dresses were the stars of the show. In airy textures with romantic and whimsical prints, or the ones with more structural form ornamented with interesting stiff ruffles. The typically Valentino touches were in the airy and flowy maxi dresses. The red ones which have been a must when the word is about Valentino were modern and almost cosmic interpretations of traditional ones.

The futuristic touches were dominant in makeup too. With red on the eyes and cheeks, glossy lips this show has offered the new millennial beauty trend. It was refreshing to see some colors on the models´ faces in the current nude look era. If you add to it classic accessories like elegant clutches and pointy stilettos with the bow on them you have got the perfect modern spin on Valentino style! And we love it, for sure! Piccioli has successfully found his own aesthetic signature with grounds of Valentino!

What do you think about this collection? Do you like Piccioli design? Can you relate the traditional Valentino design to it?

Thank you for the attention!
