You know what you are getting when the word is about Elie Saab fashion sense, and that would be the ultimate and high maintenance femininity with delicate embroideries and amazing micro embellishments. The Spring/Summer 2018 Ready-To-Wear Collection was in the same range and I don´t mean it in a bad way! Who could be bored by the amazing Elie Saab fashion concepts?! Me certainly not!
The hourglass silhouette is something which has become the trademark for Elie Saab tailoring. This form was only accentuated even much more through the stiff silhouettes. They were in the spotlight when the word was about the evening wear dress codes. When talking about the daily wear the Elie Saab lady goes at the beach with a dramatic long cape or sari floating around her body elegantly and loosed up. And that was probably the only loosed up motifs in this collection because Elie Saab likes glamour and he isn´t afraid to show it.
But this glamour is not pretentious. It is very delicate and refined. Just like the items in this collection. The seductive cut-outs, deep but classy decollete features, vibrant colors like yellow and azzuro blue, mini skirts and mini dresses in combination with polished jackets on the top. All of that was on the point revealing the fresh sight in the house of Elis Saab! It is still glamorous but definitely with the all present leisure imperative! And we love it!
Tell me your thoughts about this collection? Do you think it is a typical Elie Saab or do you think it has new visual twists?
Thank you for the attention!
