The fashion house of Lanvin has been known for polished and minimalistic looks with strongly accentuated sense for the refined. The chic of simplicity but still lavishing and stunning, this is the fashion Lanvin wants to create. The same design vibes could be sensed at the Lanvin Spring/Summer 2018 Ready-To-Wear Collection.
With the all-black ensembles at the beginning of the show, Lanvin has announced the minimalistic notes which will be mostly part of the collection. But that "noire" effect was toned down and softened by experimental cuts. With hot and seductive ones on the mini dresses or in the combinations of the trousers, corsets, and cape flowing around when the models were moving.
As the show was going on the more vibrant and playful ensembles were sent down the runway. The fabulous dresses brought in the colorful editions like red, soft blue and orange featured with another modern detail which was so common on the runways this season, the logo prints. In the Lanvin case, there were not in "your face" kind ones but more delicate caught in the endless print game of the mini dresses and suits.
But the stars of the show were stunning voluminous jackets a.k.a blazers. This volume was very structured and opulent almost like the origami kind one. They have undertoned perfectly the refined chic of this collection. Very simple but with the perfect cuts and forms. The minimalistic approach was held in the faces of the models. Another nude edition with the blurry almost fishbones alike sturred eyeliner game. This detail was the perfect round up of this stunning collection!
Do you like the minimalistic style of Lanvin in this collection? What are your thoughts about the dresses? And the makeup, would you wear it?
Thank you for the attention?
