LFW: ERDEM SPRING/SUMMER 2019 READY TO WEAR

Erdem is known for their romantic approach in the aesthetic. The design which is built with the mostly floral embroidered textures and fabrics seems to be elevated to the next level. The prove for that is definitely latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection presented today at the London Fashion Week. In the from the fashion standards point of view, Erdem has really established into the high elegant and glamorous label which corresponds perfectly with the eternal elegant picture of the feminine beauty. But as said this Erdem-esque style has elevated and nowadays it is not only romantic with the accentuated classic spin. It is more contemporary, modern, with the little experimental note which really stands out.

The innovation was definitely in the silhouette. The usual elegant and feminine form has been replaced with the more voluminous and light fluent codes in the forms. Seems like the volume and the uber big volume will be the next big thing in the Spring/Summer 2019 because many fashion houses have built their collection around that feature. And, here we have the volume in the dresses, skirts, the sleeves. The waist-free silhouette is something that here was all over re-building the perfect summer dress in that direction.

The spirit of vintage which could be described as one of the main and leading points in the visuals by Erdem here was on the spirit of Victorian. The


high neck collars in the combination with the puffy sleeves have been definitely on point. But this spirit of vintage has been mixed with the fresh and the contemporary with the again fluid silhouettes. The stunning were floral prints, again! Another trademark which was captioned amazingly and served with the big bows, on the vibrant fabric display in yellow, blue or red.

This collection has shown definitely a new face of Erdem. For the fashion house that has begun with the high classic and elegant aspects, this show has introduced us to the new Erdem era. Still, it has everything that we love about Erdem, stunning and feminine dresses, floral prints and romantic lace boost. With the more voluminous approach on the form, this is what this collection has made it more trendy, on point, fresh and little edgy! And we simply love it!
