One thing that could be considered as the positive when the word is about the end of Summer is that at the almost very beginning of September fashion weeks kick off! Starting with the one in New York we as fashion fans are really looking forward to seeing what will be the next big thing in the season Spring/Summer 2019. The honor to open New York Fashion Week has this time got Tom Ford. We all know what Tom Ford has done in Gucci, his marvelous re-build of this name with the upfront seductive vibes in design nourishing the conscious feminine beauty. Well, seems like this latest collection has had something of that old Ford flare but this time in the very polished and high elegant way.
Because if we can observe what kind of fashion has been displayed thanks to social media, the casual frenzy everywhere seems like fashion has forgotten to be "dressed up"! This collection is a totally opposite and thanks God for that! Stunning outfits built by the pencil skirt in the knee-length, the refined and sexy but still elegant lace top or blouse, all of that topped with the perfectly cut jacket. This sleek and almost office friendly silhouette is the main guiding and leading form. The only heterogenic were colors and textures.
From all blacks, whites, cognac dark, light beige. All of those chromatic solutions were on display alluring at the refined and classy spirit of this collection which is really meant to be worn by everyone. The more flirty code was in the shape of asymmetric cut skirts but still kept on the sleek and vertically strong line. The satin blazers or those one made from crocodile alike texture were there to top all of that sliding the visual sense in two ways, from deep feminine to the more robust masculine one. The cropped smoking attire could be the perfect item which represents a Tom Ford aesthetic, still classy but with its own character and spin.
The climax was definitely in the more night out wear. The animal leopard print but this way boosted with the interesting textures made from tiny fringes with the corset alike top paired with the already seen jacket in the same leopard visual. The masterpieces were definitely in the versions of long black dresses. Here they were boosted with stiff upper part and more flowy skirt but still all was kept in the sleek Tom Ford mode!
This collection has shown the beauty of dressing up, of the smart outfits which could be worn on a daily base as well as the glamorous night ensembles. Here we did not see any casual item, no bycicle pants or hoodies on the sight! Here the celebration was a real Woman who likes fashion, it is loyal to high classic elegance with the seductive hints! Simply beautiful, simply Tom Ford!
What are your thoughts about this collection? Do you like this high elegance style? What do you think about the silhouette and the evening dresses?
Thank you for the attention!
