If you like myself think that fashion with all its harsh and inevitable natures is part of the beautiful things, the things that make this life a little better because you are happy to see these outstanding masterpieces then this collection is the highlight in any possible way. Not only the aesthetic which is seen here it is so totally different from the usual Marc Jacobs design handwriting! No, it is like a manifesto to the fashion, to all the gorgeous stuff that fashion is all about. And so in the same spirit of its drive, this Spring/Summer 2019 beauty is really the most divine thing New York Fashion Week has offered!
The main piece of occupation was the dress but when that was not the case, even in the pants and girlie tops context, the ethereal style was imperative which Marc Jacobs has done and fulfill impeccably. The light voluminous silhouette which was featured with the multiple big ruffles. The stunning romantic swing was brought to the next level with the totally big bows. So the imperative of fullness was a must. But that fullness was not bulky or heavy. On contrary, it was light, hue-ly rich, dreamy.
The secret was in the gorgeous textures which were well balanced, so that even the ruffles, the chiffon or the minimalistic embellished materials all mixed together looked really refined and polished. In this collection, the vibrant colors were definitely the most beautiful part of it all. The pastel pink, green, blue, flamingo pink. The stunner was definitely sand alike colored dress with the shiny surfaces. With the big overall of mini ruffles cascading falling really has embodied the style spirit of this collection. And another thing! The couture vibes were very strong in this collection! This just proves what designer mind Marc Jacobs is. But we have already known that! Luckily for us, the fashion fans, his design keeps elevating more and more! And we are more than pleased about that!
This collection is what fashion is all about! A piece of fairytale ready to be worn, ready to be touched. The concept which collides a little with the couture spirit is definitely something that is new for Marc Jacobs. We all remember that by hip-hop inspired collection two years ago announcing the big casual and streetwear trend! Now seems that fashion is once again coming home, richly elegant, glamorous and epic! Yes, yes and once again yes to all of that!
