Some designers hold their aesthetic on the constant level. The emerge of the casuals and the "ordinary" streetwear in high fashion has not avoided even the Haute Couture collections. More often we see in that niche of the fashion design the printed t-shirts, the leggings, the bicycle shorts making the grand entrance in each component of the fashion segments. The inevitable influence of the social media gurus aka "influencers" have put this heterogenic side of the fashion into the new spotlight. This fact opens up the question about the exclusivity of the fashion itself, but this theme or the problem could be closely observed in one of the future posts.
In these fashion brands seems like Monique Lhuillier consciously doesn´t count. The first thing that comes to our mind when we see the collection is the pure glamour, the high elegant touches that are imperative when we look up close the aesthetic of Monique Lhuillier. The ultra feminine gowns, the rich embellished textures, the opulence in all of its features. This is what comes out when we look at Monique Lhuillier´s collections. Nothing the less was the one for Fall 2019 Ready To Wear. The experience of everyday dressing to be brought up in the all-that-glam context is definitely a refreshment to see! A vision, a dreamy vision and sometimes that is all we ask from a fashion. No utility, any "Ratio" or realistic. Just the joy of the pure design!
And what a dream it was! The high cut dresses in the mainly floor-sweeping forms, with the voluminous gown on the bottom and the seductive high cut on the cleavage! This "regular" look goes from the entirely glamorous to the more seductive night-out versions. From the big bows on the collars, the shiny textured easy falling dress cut on both segments, on the upper and down parts. In that "party" niche come also the wrapped dresses in the cocktail attire mannerism, the midi lengths! That non-conventional touch of the elegant dressing, in this case, looks so effortless and easy! The same feeling comes across when we see the gowns alike ensembles.
The crinoline form combined with the stiff sculpted corset looks really stunning and red carpet worthy! The motifs on them are just a visual outstanding plus. From the stars, flowers, glittery chiffons and tulles. Or the two beauties in the silky and satin mode in the vibrant red. Pure glamour with the effortless realization and exactly that effortless touch is something that makes these dresses and this collection so modern and fresh!
It takes on you to choose which side of Monique Lhuillier fashion story would you be. A royal alike feminine one with the gorgeous gowns or the queen of the cocktail party dazzling in the laced midi-dresses! Both of them are stunning, celebrating the beauty of a woman, of dressing up, of the fashion! And we simply love this almost forgotten side of the design!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like this high elegant style? Which dress do you like the most?
Thank you for your attention!
