Dress like a Parissiene and think like the one! With these words, the latest Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2018 Ready-To-Wear Collection could be described. But this Parissiene was fearless, conscious of her style and chic attitude. Maria Grazia Chiuri has never hidden the strong women confidence. Her style approach has altered the fashion canvas and stepped into the modern society interpretation of women´s worth.
The defile on the show was like the defile of suffragettes with light masculine forms adjusted to the stylish picture of the modern femininity. The androgynous vibes were not so obvious in the clothes because there were plenty skirts, textures with shiny embellishments, chiffon ethereal forms which could be considered as the softer and feminine side of design. The strength was in the attitude, simply in the air.
With minimum makeup, spidery eyelashes, nude lips, clean face and pixie hairdo´s the look of this collection was screaming "Avantgarde, madames!" The step to the modern Dior woman was born! With fashion as a tool for reminiscence of the feminine in the today´s world and society, this collection could be considered as the fashion manifest! Simply unpretentious, beautiful but strong in its codes. The Dior Revolution has started and we love it!
