Moschino and Jeremy Scott have been known for their playful and bold approach in the design sense. The not-so-serious perspective is definitely something that stands out in the sea of the current fashion ethos. Moschino is also known for playing with the neo-concepts of our society and civilizations. To this Italian brand that is the immense source of inspiration that Jeremy Scott plays so seductively.
It seems that for Fall 2020 Ready To Wear collection the connotations we're taken from the historical point of view. The Marie-Antoinette persona that has been known for her saying: "Let Them Eat Cakes!", what appeared the only of the many triggers for the French Revolution. This reference as well as her impeccable style we're the juxtaposition start points of this collection.
Everything was in the Moschino mode yet Baroque-ss-ly underwent and accentuated. The mini-crinolines we're on the point and if they were not brought in Moschino versions, they could easily be worn in this historical Epoque. The gorgeous embroideries, the structured silhouette that was toned down with the modern wisps in the textures like jeans, motorcycle-leathery jackets on the top that was the epitome of the typical Moschino girl! And the experimental echo that screams the Couture spirit, is definitely something that could be seen as the turning point if the fashion that, again has become fearless and inspirational elitistic!
The finish was reserved for the unusually glamorous dresses, especially the red one at the very end. Of course, there were cakes too, the dresses formed just to remind us of that infamous saying. And although just like each collection by Moschino, the playful effect was on the point, if we squint our eyes and scratch under the surface, we will see that this collection in the no tendentious way, screams about the current state of the world that long for a revolution in the spiritual and every possible sense. Maybe this could be the wake-up call, in the Moschino mannerism!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like this concept that goes beneath the usual urban associations?
Thank you for your attention!
