Erdem is famous for its new romanticism which has always been a huge part of Erdem aesthetics. That new romantic touch looks like it has been torn apart from the old painting because if you see closely there is always some kind of style nostalgia in Erdem design. With the floral prints as the main and leading point of expressions, everything else is on the point of giving us that warm vintage vibe for which Erdem is known about.
The same spirit was in the spotlight in the latest Erdem Resort 2019 collection. You would think that resort theme would give the ultimate summer chicness guideline, but not in the case of Erdem. Because even in this concept the dreamy and laid back beauty of the design has been on the front line alluring to us more the end of summer and announcing to us the romantic autumnal times.
The concept of Erdem is always featured with the flowy and romantic dresses and the floral textures of the coats. The dresses were boosted with the ruffles and the big kind ones which instantly give the whole design a retro spirit. The coats are always celebrated in all their magnificent glory with the plenty of the florals, coloristic bold solutions, outstanding details like the big puffy sleeves, uber-big collars or ultra big bows. And yes, the bow could be, beside the floral print, the ultimate must-have when the word is about the design made by Erdem.
This collection has brought an aesthetic which celebrates the vintage spirit but in the modern and contemporary way. With the strong accents at the typical Erdem signature, it gives us the new, fresh and simply different face of the fashion which is so remarkably heterogenic but yet trendsetting worthy!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the vintage aesthetic of Erdem? And what are your thoughts on their stylish coats?
Thank you for the attention!
