Balmain knows certainly how to make the empowering-female wardrobe. The ensembles by Balmain are really fearless, strong, bold, showstopping for sure. Yet, they are impeccably done and with the depth that is more than being just a beautiful clothing. And if some designers have stepped into the #MeToo movement via empowering prints on the white tees, well Balmain has more refined and glamorous way of doing that. The long dresses, the opulent voluminous forms, the shiny textures, and statement jewelry. All of that has become a "telos" or embody of Balmain concept which with every collection elevates even more in the gorgeous fashion stratosphere!
The same "logos" in the design sense was re-surfaced in the latest Spring/Summer 2019 Ready To Wear collection by Balmain. The first look which was worn by Cara Delevigne was strong and conceptualized version of satin luxurious pajama. And here we had the perfect and so Balmain maneuver, the pure from metal made top shield which in the contrast with the gentle and light texture of satin PJ really looked like a stylistically oxymoron. This look hides the concept of Balmain woman. She is gentle, refined and smooth, but she is also tough, strong and brave. Like an urban warrior-ess!
The metal/fabric structured conglomerate was on the go on the next round of looks via mini dress with wide shoulders and rough pointed ends. The more lavishing and in the so Couture mode was all white dress with the structured fan a.k.a "abanico" alike feature. Then there was a part with washed out jeans pieces. The omnipresent midi trousers trend was on the scene too but in the Balmain kind of way, paired with the uber-long leather boots in nudes just to give this whole casual concept a seductive chic note.
The structure is something that has been an incorporated face of Balmain style. Their famous Balmain blazer which in this collection has become a refresh with the more accentuated approach on the shoulders and in the length which in this case was rocked like an edgy version of a little black dress. And in this collection, the imperative of the structure was on the peek. The structured almost architectural silhouettes which celebrate not just the beauty of fashion but the beauty of a woman with the geometrically details not just on the forms but on the prints too!
The Balmain Theorem, that could be the name of this collection for sure! It shows how to be beautiful, original, how to stand out, how to speak loudly with your style. All of that in the mathematically well rounded and built looks. And we are again proud to be in love with Balmain Army!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the structured silhouettes here? Which ensemble do you like the most?
Thank you for the attention!
