There is a sense for the most delicate and refined beauty if you ask Zuhair Murad. This Lebanese designer nourishes the same aesthetic when it comes to Haute Couture just like the few famous Lebanese designers with Elie Saab on the top. Seems like the Oriental vision of woman is very glamorous with the huge red carpet potential. With the upcoming awards season no doubt that one of these stunning gowns will be rocked by the A-list celebs. This kind level of star-dome beauty is definitely something Zuhair Murad appreciates and likes to present.
The same kind of high glamour was at the peak in the latest Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The theme was very maritime so the blue color and its coloristic variations were the global and the main chromatic occupation. The gowns were in the niche of long dresses with deep cleavage in the combination. The textures were very embroidery alike resulting in the see-through effects that have brought the pure delicacy. The lightness of the whole story was accentuated with the silky textures giving the flowy nature to the dresses.
One thing Zuhair Murad adores is a sleek silhouetted form that follows the body features. Here they were presented in the version of the little edgy mini-dress with the accents on the waist and shoulders as well as in the asymmetric tailored long dresses. Seems like the asymmetry is something that occupies Zuhair Murad lately. There were plenty of ensembles featuring the short dress on the front and the big floor-sweeping part at the back giving at the same time the seductive note as well as the little drama!
The pure beauty of Haute Couture was kept in the last few dresses of the collection. They were made in light violet and vibrant red with stunning like a mermaid tail encrusted shiny embellishments in the gold and yes, the mermaids could be seen as the inspiration for this collection. It was soft, almost ethereal with all of these ruffles, tiny and fine embroideries. With the stunning bride dress at the end as the grand finale, this collection was again a total win with so many amazing dresses. Hopefully, one of them will be seen at this red carpet season. It would be a waste not to!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the design by Zuhair Murad? Which dress do you like the most?
Thank you for your attention!
