The secret is to maintain the known features yet get that feel of the new and different kind. Seems like with these work or design ethic the duo by Oscar de la Renta Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have been maintaining the fresh and new aesthetic of the famous fashion house. The contemporary touches are definitely hidden in the approach that is more loosed up and in the modern and urban kind of elegance incorporated. Still, the final impressions are the stunning style and fashion ideas that definitely celebrate in the refine way the past and the future of Oscar de la Renta.
This kind of design beauty was in the major wave in the latest collection Fall 2019 Ready To Wear presented at the New York Fashion Week. The innovative touches were presented in the silhouette and form. And the choice of the fabrics and textures was also in the spinning whirlwind. In the beggining, the tweed was in the grand spotlight which could be seen in the very first outfits from the runway. The patchwork kind of stitches has given the midi coat the extra boost in the texture making the amazing "Kontrapunkt" to the black oversized trousers. The corset-bra underneath was there just to give to this all classic story the edgy and youthful code.
The daily combinations were in the sphere of the high elegance with the accents on the deep colors in the autumnal range and in the cozy factor of the cashmere fabrics. Even the dresses that were displayed were far from the known Oscar de la Renta glamour. They were easy to wear, very accessible in the length paired with the cozy cape, the IT piece of the next season, not just in the night but in the everyday looks. That does not minimalize the ultra chic factor of this whole fashion story!
The pure joy has consisted of the gowns. The sheerness and the lightness was the antipode for the more heavier textures for the daily wear. The glamour was captivated in the dresses made of the fringes and the feathers throughout the whole surface. The lace factor was there too, in the deep red alluring the Spanish Suave Flavour for what Oscar de la Renta was known for. In the more sculpted way, the homage was definitely held on the last dress worn by Bella Hadid. The all-black gown with the sculpted dress and corset on the top with the structured tiles alike arabesques. Looked so familiar, yet so fresh and new!
This collection has shown the new spirit of Oscar de la Renta house. The modern twist in a wearable way, the toned down glamour, the step out in the textures. Everything looked stunning maintaining that OdlR vibe, the explicit beauty of a woman!
