FASHION LOVES ARCHITECTURE BY GUO PEI

Grandious, breathtaking, ethereal and simply like from the other world! With these words, we could describe the work of Chinese designer Guo Pei. With her vision of fashion like something that is extraordinary, consciously avant-garde and stunningly complex, we can say that her signature is so remembering and once you get the glimpse at one of her art pieces because they are true that, you get the feeling what the fashion expression really can make and what kind of the sensation it can produce in the perspective of the observer!

And that observing fact is something that is so influential and common for Guo Pei design. She purposely excludes us, the fashion fans and consumers to the level of the plain observer and recipient inviting us to her impeccable and stunning world of creativity. And we don´t feel left out. In contrary, we feel lucky and appreciative that we could be part of that artistic sensation full of interesting tailoring solutions and otherworldly aesthetic!

This same vibe was scented in the latest Fall 2018 Haute Couture collection! The world of Couture is something which is so related to Guo Pei style, so in this fashion niche she brings out all of her creativity giving us the most outrageous and almost never seen alike work. Guo Pei´s signature signs are always so structured and precisely clean. She adores the sculpted and stiff silhouettes which are opulent in the down parts and sleek in the upper parts.

This kind of the form was in this collection on the perfect peak. The inspiration by the architecture could be sensed in every step of this collection! The bridge alike apsides, the almost three-dimensional rectangles on the dresses which were connected like the building construction, the gowns which looked like the ground plan again in the 3-D. Even on the no sculpted motives like the floral and fringy ones, the dictate of the sculpture was in the air!

If you thought that Haute Couture has lost its sparkle, that is is not so exciting and purely Couture, then this collection and the work by Guo Pei, in general, will ensure you in the opposite way. It is the really rare thing today to see this kind of artistic spirit which is brave and bold, which is bursting of the extravagant and still looks stunning and outrageously beautiful! Guo Pei rolls her on fashion movie, and we are gladly here the plain spectators and recipients!
