You know what kind of the visual sensation is waiting for you when you see Dolce & Gabbana - Alta Moda Fall 2018 Couture Collection. The plenty of anything and even more with the pure design drama and exaggeration. Well, in the case of Dolce & Gabbana this exaggeration has become their trademark style. The opulence in every possible way, from the form, polyvalent approach to the textures, the vivid kaleidoscope of the colors. All of that exists in the Dolce & Gabbana Haute Couture world giving us the fashion with the attitude and any adoration worthy.
The famous ball gown form is in this collection a must again. Wider, the better! The chiffon layers kept underneath boosted the voluminous character to it all. If you add to that the puffy sleeves to that, and the sculpted corset featured on the top just to tone down the whole story giving it the most glamorous spirit. The volume story goes on even on the baggy pants paired with the laced featured blouse alluring the Oriental casual wear spirit.
Most stunning were the flowy dresses with the fluent and easy-on silhouette which was accompanied by the multi-ruffles layers. Of course, the floral prints here were a must so these dresses could be seen that they were inspired by the most romantic and refined style. With the flowers crowns in the hair, flowers on the umbrellas the models looked like the botanical queens caught in the bold decadence and style richness.
This collection has captured the pure Dolce & Gabbana design. The more is better, that could be the parole of this collection. It is interesting that these Haute Couture collections of Alta Moda are always very heterogenic with the multiple inspiration sources. Like here, from the floral theme, the phantom lady, the famous Catholic one, and the inevitable Sicilian one. All of them worked here impeccably amazing giving us the sensational Couture spirit and the reminder that fashion is here to show us how the world dreamy can be ethereal, but yeah still real and captured alive!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like these kinds of extravagant Haute Couture or do you like the more simple approach to high fashion design?
Thank you for the attention!
