PFW: ALEXANDER McQUEEN S/S 2019 READY TO WEAR

Sarah Burton makes a great job in Alexander McQueen. Her aesthetic has been a constant revelation of gorgeous story-telling fashion which has so many sides to look at, rich with the femininity but also bold and edgy in some ways. Her collections have been on the traces of something new and different since the day she stepped on the head of the fashion house founded by the one and only Alexander McQueen himself. She was not afraid by the grandiose responsibility that comes with stepping into Lee´s footsteps. She has envolved and created the signature which corresponds amazingly with the famous McQueen "spleen" and still has her own touch, a touch which is refined and more assertive but honest, warm and original.

The same spirit was on the spot in the latest Spring/Summer 2019 Ready To Wear collection. In every collection, Sarah Burton nourishes the concept of well-thought concept which comes in the visual gradation. Just as you would read a novel, with intro, climax and the end, her collections really speak a story in which every motive is on the spot, in the right place. Just as we could see in the first and opening look. The gentle white dress with mini ruffles on the sleeves and the big ones falling asymmetrically with the leather apron on the back. This oxymoronic structured look has presented the equivalent of Sarah Burton´s concept which is neo-romantic and soft opposite to the dark and edgy one.

The lightness was continued in the yellow edition of the same concept with a stiff leather feature on the side. The full attitude boldness was brought in the sharp formed suit with the deep cut coat and sleek trousers. The edgier and artistically rounded was definitely the all-leather mini dress with the dress falling in A-form. The armor alike fitted sleeves and the traditional floral ornaments have captioned perfectly that opponent alike drive which Sarah Burton is so fond of! The more grungy spirit was on the next looks with romantic floral dresses and robust boots. With the statement by the Aztek culture inspired jewelry which has become a staple and a constant part of her outfits, the edgy effect was on the perfect peek!

The romantic flow was kept going with the more glamorous ensembles, like the gorgeous hybrid of dress and trousers. The low cut dress which was torn apart sporadically on the shiny embellishment chiffon on the top of black trousers could be the synonym for Sarah Burton glamour which is fearless, edgy, theatrical and bold. Or the pure goddesses at the very end, all embellishment sheer layout for the perfect show disclosure in the most gorgeous way. Or the two beauties made of the boldly embroidered lace interrupted with shiny features. What an end!

This collection has shown the aesthetic of Sarah Burton at its finest mode. For the newcomers in the fashion world, it may look too serious, but for the constant fashion connoisseurs, it is the proof of her grandiose design which has established itself as a Burton-ism. And that fact tells a lot when you are on the head of the most original and outstanding fashion house there is, the one of Alexander McQueen! Simply stunning and we love it!

What do you think about this collection? Do you like the neo-romantic, grungy nature of it? Which ensemble do you like the most?

Thank you for the attention!
