It is that time of the year when the most exciting time for any fashion fan begins, Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. Having on our mind that Haute Couture is always more than just a fashion, it is something that is between pure art and fashion, distanced from the trends but still so relevant for the pulse and way of "de Vivre" for fashion in general. It will be on the focus of the celebrity stylists whose clients will be rocking, maybe, some of the ensembles that we will see at this Fashion Week.
We are kicking off with the Haute Couture collection by Dundas, created and owned by Norweigan designer Peter Dundas. He has worked for Roberto Cavalli and Pucci and for the past several years he is a creative and main leader in the house of Dundas. Of course, these facts that Peter Dundas has worked for Cavalli and Pucci has left the big influence at his work because of this collection that was glamorous, prints polyvalent and fearless!
The first look was very seductive with the ruffled silky blouse and deep cut dress on the front. The fishbone net stockings were the highlight throughout the whole collection, accentuating the seductive spirit and yet so edgy and free. The floral prints that were there were amazingly incorporated in the whole concept, the Latino swing takes a rock punch, could be the name of this ensemble.
This flowy and ruffled silhouette was suited and fitted with the high waisted belt that was also, just like the socks, could be seen as the highlight of the collection. The mixture of the high feminine note that is edgy and witty seemed to be the guideline for this collection. The texture was chiffon alike among the silky ones too, and that all say about the movement-friendly accents and side of this collection. It might be the Couture, but for Dundas, it is more about the approachability and by glamour inspired accessibility!
The form of the high cut dress on the front is definitely a very seductive touch. The mini-dresses were more playful with the big ruffles swirling along. The new romantic is something that Dundas definitely likes but that romantic needs to have "Ecken Und Kanten", with the character. And this kind of collection Peter Dundas has delivered!
What do you think about this collection? Do you find the dresses interesting? Which look do you find the most interesting?
Thank you for your attention!
