The beauty of experimental haute couture is like in any other type of experimental art; like theatres or movies. It really pushes the boundaries of already known and making them common and ordinary. The innovations here are obvious in any aspect of couture design; in silhouette which is stiff almost identical to the sculptures alike, or the textures which are unconventional like nylons, or leather-ish rough ruffles, geometrically correct contures, or deconstruction of already known elements showing them in totally new appearence...The spectrum of experimental couture is really wide, as you can see.
What is the point of these kind of couture?! The answer is pure exploring fact, in sense of imagination and its realization. There are not so many designers and couturiers that can pull this off. Most popular are defenitelly Iris van Herpen, Viktor & Rolf or Jean Paul Gaultier. Of course there are tons of young generation of designers that are not in fashion fame spotlight making the most outrageous innovative high end fashion ensembles. And being in that position is sometimes a bliss because you can be creative as much as you can and experiment as long as you want!
Do you like this kind of couture?
Thank you for the attention!
