Seems like the theme that was occupating Lagerfeld this time was something so new and different. The full Cleopatra drama was on the full swing with the famous Egyptian eyeliner on the models´ faces. The combination of the tweed texture and the golden pieces was the perfect mixture of the two traditions, the Ancient one and the Chanel one! The long dresses with the bulky and light voluminous short sleeves have alluded at the female pharaon ensemble within this line also corresponds with the female power that Madame Chanel was all about. This time it was brought into the totally new edition!

The overall feeling of the Egyptian vibes was in the air. If anyone knows how to re-interpret the theme into the Chanel theme, Karl Lagerfeld is definitely the right one. He feels and knows the pulse of the modern woman and contemporary generation. With this historical swing, he once again showed how amazing, almost in the border of the smart-costuming his design is. And that is the most stunning thing in his work and in the spirit of today´s Chanel!
