NEW ASETHETICS BY ALEXANDER McQUEEN

If you are a fan of the fashion and you are constantly in the fashion not just trends but notifications too, you know that Sarah Burton is not a shy lady when the word is about fashion design. Stepping into the place of late Alexander McQueen, she is serving us bold, conscious and inevitable fashion which emerges the spin on the modern romanticism. In Autumn/Winter 2018 Pre-Fall Collection this aesthetic goes even further creating the new and now, well common, style by Burton which is slowly becoming iconic.

Something that catches the eye at the first glimpse in this collection is the forms. In the era of casual and flaunty forms which have become more fluent and easy to wear, the current McQueen design likes correct and straight lines. The silhouette is corset alike stiff which resonates almost sculptural vibe. The light deconstruction is on the sight with the leather tops which allures the strong and direct impressions.

This style attitude rolls on further in the form of the jackets. In the same sculpted mannerism, they look a piece of the military attire but with the famous McQueen romantic twist. Even the ruffles on the dresses are origami neat and polished which undergoes this sculpted imperative. As the collection goes on, it reveals the softer and loosed up approach taking the nightwear to the total next level.

The cut-out dresses on the side with the high romantic lace features which are displayed on the feminine version of the tuxedos, all ruffles textures on the dresses which above that have the florals prints too. All of that is the stylistically stunning intro into the star of the collection, the shiny embellished in dark silver dress with rolls on the sleeves, and last but not least, the gold lace ornamented long dress with the seductive upper part and nice falling skirt. This collection offers us the best of McQueen aesthetics giving us the new and fresh signature on the fashion!

What do you think about this collection? Do you like the forms and more sculpted cuts on the pants and jackets or do you like the flowy and romantic spin which appears on the dresses?

Thank you for the attention!
