When we talk about resort collections we can say that they are inspired by foreign and not so usual places. Givenchy Resort 2019 Collection is not the exception. With the inspiration in Japan, this collection offers simple cuts and polished looks with the minimalistic approach to the style. The light volume and the inspiration for the Japanese culture and style are here inevitable and look modern and fresh.
The kimono alike forms can be seen brought in the totally new, in Parisienne chic kind of way, style. The light volume which is under the control of wide belts, the mystique capes which are often to be seen here, give the whole collection edgy but still classy vibe. The colors are here in the "Japanese" kind of moderation. The mostly black and white ensembles, the deep natural tones like beige or brown are here kept in the total visual symmetry.
The witty touch was definitely in the accessories. The geometrically shaped shoes or ruffled midi-boots, the big tote bags as well as the mini ones, the pressured details like sculpted waves on the dresses, the controlled layerings. All of that has made this collection stunning and with the huge style sophistication. Something that Givenchy is turning to again. The polished and refined style without any drama or glamour! Just the perfect tailored garments and inspiration worthy and bold outfits!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like Japanese hints in the style here? Which look do you find the most interesting?
Thank you for the attention!
