In Maria Grazia Chiuri case everything is in the inspirational strength of the woman and the femininity which is the standing occupation of latest Dior design under the art directory by Chiuri. If #MeToo movement has emerged on the red carpets this big revolution has come a long way in Dior case. We all remember the simple white t-shirts with the "We All Should Be Feminists" which was standing out and it was a cute and witty note, but then when #MeToo movement has stricken, it has become and got the totally new meaning!
In the latest Spring/Summer 2019 Resort collection, this female power has got and embodied another strong definition. Because of all resort collections that are mainly inspired by some other, more vacation appropriate destination, in the case of Dior, it was Mexico. The Mexican touches were on the sight in the stunning micro-embroideries which allured the traditional Hispanic attire. That flare was undertoned even more with the lace rich dresses and fedora hats which have given the whole outfits the boyish vibe.
But Maria Grazia Chiuri never forgets to embrace and to show the high feminine segments in which she celebrates viciously the beauty of a woman. And in this case, that detail was the wide sculpted leather belts which have given the whole story the aura of corsets but corsets that could easily be rocked not in the saloon talk but in the horse riding, or some other risky and brave activity. Because of Dior in Chiuri interpretation of fashion that is all about activity and activism. Being beautiful with the cause, in today era is the brave and exceptional thing which we applause!
