Back to the basic! With these words, the Burberry Spring/Summer 2019 Resort collection could be described. With the usual heterogenic approach to the most classic and statement British fashion brand ever, the metamorphosis of the known Burberry pieces has become a constant thing. But not if you ask Ricardo Tisci who has become a design director of Burberry a few months ago. In the expectation of his first original collection which will be presented at the next fashion week in London, in this Resort collection we can see the glimpse of the aesthetic direction which will Burberry become under the artistic flagship by Tisci.
The simplicity and monumentalism with the dazzling nostalgia. The big and long trenchcoats which invite for the hug in the rainy and foggy night seems to be the inspiration for this editorial. The simple chic and the classic of Burberry with the famous Burberry print featured all over, the black or deep brown alternations of the same item. All of that could be the sign of the new and fresh direction of Burberry.
Everything in this collection was high feminine and classy. From the fitted pencils skirts which allure the perfect business look combined with the all-presented and the latest IT shoe with the kitten hill. These hints of the pure classic spin on the typical Burberry style seems to go perfectly with the impeccable minimalism which is announced to be the new thing for Burberry.
This collection has the epitome attitude in the direction of what Burberry style really has been. The pure classic with the British clean cut. Seems that the exciting era is ahead in this traditional fashion house!
What do you think about this collection? Do you like the purified and the minimalistic style which was presented in this editorial?
Thank you for the attention!
