Sometimes the multi-prints in the fashion can be a little tricky. You don´t want to overload and to have the collection jaded of the textures, eclectic vibes, and patterns in general. Well, sometimes it is just the way of the style and it goes perfectly and seemingly great. If we take a look at the latest Anna Sui Autumn/Winter 2018 Ready-To-Wear Collection we can see how this conglomerate of different visual captions and motivations work bringing the clash-prints term to a totally new level.
We need to say that the autumnal collections are the perfect ones for this task. What the rich patterns need are not just witty and bold colors but the heterogenic approach in the textures. With the layering skills which were on the stunning point when we look at this collection, the concept of rich patterns lives successfully here. The main and the starting point is the dress, in this case, the light and chiffon alike one. This item comes in this collection in so many variable editions. From the tartan ones, floral or in the modern Art-Deco mannerism, the choice of the dress to be that one item around which the whole visual concept will be revolving, is the best idea.
The motivation for the toning down all of these multi-printed items is on the scene in the monochrome hints which are brought in the form of the same fish-net socks, like deep red, blue or yellow ones, or the level is, even more, higher in the shape of coats in the same colors. This concept brings the touch of the polished approach and calms down this whole poly-printed story. With the 80-s hair and makeup, the concept of rich patterns has been brought to the totally new level which is vivid, vibrant and exciting!
What do you think about this collection? Are you a fan of the mučti-printed textures or do you like more simple, monochrome approach to it?
Thank you for the attention!
